Founderscard Offers AA Status Challenge

In Previous years, Founderscard has offered members a chance to earn American Airlines Elite Status with significantly reduced earning requirements. The good news is that there’s a new offer and it’s available to (almost) all Founderscard members.

AAdvantage Gold or Platinum status challenge for FoundersCard Members

  • Enroll by August 4, 2019 and receive 3 months of AAdvantage Gold or Platinum status with the opportunity to keep it through January 2021, by completing the following requirements between August 15 – November 15, 2019:
    • American Airlines AAdvantage® Gold Status OfferEnroll in Business Extra
      • Earn 7,000 EQMs or 8 EQSs AND $1,000 EQDs
    • American Airlines AAdvantage® Platinum Status OfferEnroll in Business Extra
      • Earn 12,500 EQMs or 16 EQSs AND $2,000 EQDs
  • You cannot participate in an offer for the same or lower status than you currently hold. Customers who register for an offer with the same status or a lower status will be automatically enrolled in the offer for the next higher elite level.
    • If the customer has been enrolled in a status challenge in the previous 24 months, they will not be eligible to enroll in this offer.
  • Platinum, Platinum Pro or Executive Plat members are not eligible to participate
  • The offer cannot be changed once the selection is made.

How to Enroll

  • If you’re not a Business Extra Member, register via this link and Make sure to select “Travel Manager” under Relationship to Account. Once you’re enrolled, proceed to the next step (you must complete both steps to enroll in the challenge.)
  • Once you’re enrolled in Business Extra, register for the promotion on Founderscard‘s AA benefit page
  • IMPORTANT: Registering for Business Extra does not enroll you in the AAdvantage Gold or Platinum status challenge. After you create a Business Extra account, you must go back to this site, click “Already a Business Extra Member”, and fill out the form. Missing this final step will prevent you from being entered into the challenge.

Founderscard Offers AA Status Challenge

Thoughts

As in prior years it’s nice to see Founderscard Offers AA Status Challenge. I am pretty happy with Founderscard so far though I can’t make use of this perk because I already hold Executive Platinum status. If you can take advantage, this is a great benefit! Platinum status has some good benefits, including low-cost or free upgrades to First or Business class. Status is recognized by all OneWorld Alliance member airlines. Historically, AA charged upwards of $200 to enroll in a challenge. The best part of this offer is that you’ll hold elite status until January 31, 2021. It is however a bit of a bummer that members with AAdvantage Platinum status or higher can’t use this offer to requalify.
